Reading Programs

Halifax Public Libraries:

• The Paws to Read program gives kids the chance to build their confidence by reading to a dog - they'r excellent listeners!

• The Leading Readers Program engages struggling or reluctant readers from Grades 1 - 5. Kids are paired with a teen. 

• Children's Reading Support program is a free tutoring and mentorship program for both Sackville and North End Halifax communities. 

• TD Summer Reading Club is a program that encourages kids to read over their summer break from school. Win cool prizes!​​
