What are the fees?
Fees vary depending on services. Fees are consistent with the rate set by the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Health Care plan (MSI) does not cover Psychology services. Driftwood Psychology does not provide direct billing. You will be given a receipt to submit to your insurance company. Check with your insurance company about coverage.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to access services at Driftwood Psychology.
What is the Cancelation Policy?
Please cancel or reschedule appointments at least 24 hours in advance. You can email, call or cancel via the online booking system.
Who are the clients?
Assessments are available for children, youth and adults. Therapy is available for children and youth up to age 19.
What is available in person?
In-person assessment services are available on Mondays and Tuesdays between 9 am and 4 pm.
What is provided virtually?
Assessment intake and feedback sessions are completed via phone or video. Adult ADHD assessments are completed via video. Therapy is available virtually between Tuesday and Friday. Currently, there are no in-person therapy appointments available.
How is my information stored?
A web-based practice management system, Owl Practice, is used for recordkeeping and scheduling appointments. This system ensures the privacy and protection of sensitive client information and is compliant with the Patient Health Information Protection ACT (PHIPA).
